Cheap Flooring Comparison Chart
Here's a handy chart, so you can see at a glance some of the features of each type of flooring. The entries are based on my own personal observations, and may not correspond to opinions found elsewhere.
|emits gases (VOC)||Y||Y|
|refinishable||N||Y||Y & N||N|
|cheapest price||< $2||< $3||< $1||< $3||< $3||< $1|
- The entries in the top section of this Flooring Comparison Chart are relative. e.g. - The 'Y' in the 'easy maintenance' row for Bamboo means that Bamboo flooring is easier to maintain than Hardwood or Slate flooring.
- The * beside the lower entries indicates "availability". e.g. - Flooring in the form of planks is available for all types except Slate flooring.
Ezra says: To get an idea of the beauty and variety of flooring available to use in your home, you should visit your nearest flooring supply store. Take notes on any styles that you might want to get for your project - its grade, cut, and price. When you get home, check out Cheap Flooring. I'll bet we have the same variety of flooring - and it's cheaper than what you can buy locally! ( Don't forget, though, to factor in any transportation costs. )
I promise to live up to our slogan:
